지난 11월 11일 ~ 19일 시행한 '새내기 총설문조사'의 결과 보고서를 학우분들께 공유드립니다.
본 보고서는 UNIST 25학번 새내기의 학교생활 만족도 현황을 진단하고, 학제 개편 등 주요 현안에 대한 학생들의 실질적인 인식을 전달하기 위해 작성되었습니다.
이번 조사를 통해 기초과목 온라인 강좌 대체에 대한 우려, CA 활동의 실효성 제고 필요성, 그리고 구성원 간 교류 확대에 대한 유의미한 정량적·정성적 결과를 확인할 수 있었습니다. 이는 변화하는 교육 환경 속에서 새내기들이 진정으로 필요로 하는 지원이 무엇인지 보여주는 명확한 지표라 할 수 있습니다.
본 보고서에 담긴 데이터와 목소리가 단순한 의견 수렴을 넘어, 향후 관련 부처가 교육 정책을 수립하고 학사 제도를 개선하는 과정에서 실증적인 기초 자료로 유의미하게 활용되기를 희망합니다.
수요자인 새내기의 입장이 충분히 고려된 데이터 기반의 의사결정이 이루어질 때, 학교 정책에 대한 구성원의 신뢰도는 더욱 공고해질 것입니다. 본 자료가 UNIST의 교육 환경을 더욱 발전시키는 합리적인 나침반이 되기를 기대합니다.

Dear UNIST Students,
This is the 8th Freshman Student Council, 'Hanul.'
We are pleased to share with the student body the official results report of the 'Freshman General Survey,' which was conducted from November 11th to 19th.
This report was prepared with the primary goal of diagnosing the current level of satisfaction with school life among the UNIST students entering in the 2025 academic year and conveying the practical perspectives of students on major pending issues, such as the academic system reorganization.
Through this comprehensive survey, we have successfully obtained significant quantitative and qualitative results that highlight: concerns regarding the substitution of foundational courses with online lectures, the necessity of enhancing the practical effectiveness of CA activities, and the clear desire for greater interaction among all members. These findings serve as essential indicators of the support truly required by freshmen within our evolving educational landscape.
We sincerely hope that the data and valuable voices presented in this report will be utilized not merely as collected feedback, but as substantial, empirical foundational material by the relevant departments when formulating future educational policies and improving the academic system.
We believe that data-driven decision-making, which fully incorporates the perspective of freshmen as the primary beneficiaries, will further strengthen the trust of all members in the school's policies. We trust that this document will serve as a judicious compass guiding the continued advancement of UNIST's educational environment.
